House of Night Series in Order by P C. Cast; Kristin Cast

house of night books in order

In early 19th-century England, long before he’s a professor at the Tulsa House of Night, Bryan Lankford is a troublesome yet talented human teen who thinks he can get away with anything. Until his father, a wealthy nobleman, has finally had enough, and banishes him to America. When Bryan is Marked on the docks and given the choice between the London House of Night and the dragon-prowed ship to America, he chooses the Dragon — and a brand new fate. Just ask Zoey Redbird — she’s become an undisputed expert on suckiness.

House of Night Series

In 2016, the Hennesseys pulled their longtime Santa Monica stakes to join the hip exodus inland to the Arts District downtown, setting up shop on the ground floor of a building with befitting flair. If you are interested in this book, I would recommend reading it after the first book, Marked, but before the remaining books in the series. It takes the form of a handbook, explaining everything from the history of vampires, right the way through to your body’s transition when you become a vampire yourself. It also covers the foundations of vampire lore and magical rituals. And that’s not all – the High Priestess Neferet has declared war on humans – something Zoey knows is out-and-out wrong but feels powerless to speak out about. The story follows a very relatable young 16-year-old called Zoey, who has been sent off to the House of Night, which is basically a boarding school for fledgling vampires.

What was the first book written in the House of Night series?

Stumble upon something interesting yourself or ask the staff—these book keepers live for finding your next page-turner or the perfect gift for a picky reader. Or as they promise, "We are confident we can find a book for anyone from the 7-year-old who exclusively reads about dinosaurs to the literary connoisseur in the mood for a Bulgarian epic." Welcome to the first bookstore in the country (and still one of only two) dedicated entirely to the romance genre. Find your people at trivia nights, book clubs, and stand-up comedy shows. Or dream up something someone else can obsess over—or Netflix can turn into the next national guilty pleasure—in writing classes.

Zoey is of Cherokee descent, which her grandmother encourages her to embrace. Zoey discovers that the leader of the school’s prestigious club is abusing her abilities. Zoey must seek the strength to accept her destiny, with guidance from her vampire pals.

A Sneak Peek into the House of Night Series Order

Larry Edmunds has also starred in the likes of "Melrose Place," "Beverly Hills 90120," and "Alex In Wonderland." In the quaint burb of Montrose sits the nation's oldest children's bookstore, established by mom/artist Jane Humphrey in 1966. A young regular wrote a letter to the "LA Times" pleading for someone to save the store. That someone ended up being her parents as the note made them realize how important it was to their children and the community.

The series stands out because of its unique premise of a school for vampyres, its complex characters, and the growth they undergo. The series primarily follows Zoey Redbird, a 16-year-old fledgling who has been marked to become a vampyre. Other significant characters include Zoey’s friends, known as the “Nerd Herd,” – Stevie Rae, Damien, Erin, and Shaunee. Additionally, Neferet, the initially supportive but eventually antagonistic High Priestess, plays a crucial role.

A thrilling tale of supernatural intrigue and personal growth. Neferet’s true nature has been revealed to the Vampyre High Council, so Zoey and the gang might finally get some help in defending themselves and their beloved school against a gathering evil that grows stronger every day. And they’ll need it, because Neferet’s not going down without a fight. A vampire tracker “marks” her and she begins to “change” into a vampire. She must leave her family and enroll at the House of Night, a boarding school for vampires in training. From my list oncrime thriller series that aren’t afraid to explore darkness.
